A successful, well-known House Builder is recruiting for an Architectural Technician or Technologist to join their West Midlands region on a permanent basis.
The successful Architectural Technician will join an innovative and friendly team with strong emphasis on teamwork. You will be involved in a variety of high volume developments stretching across the Midlands.
The person they appoint will be responsible for producing concise and accurate working drawing packages and to co-ordinate ancillary drawings and schedules to meet programme requirements. You will be responsible for submissions and gaining approval for Building Regulations, and will ensure compliance with HQI’s, Lifetime Homes and Code for Sustainable Homes.
• Production of detailed working drawing packages for house types and apartments
• Conversant with current building regulations, construction methods and material costs
• Preparation of ancillary and associated drawings
• Producing house type plans and elevations
• Manage all elements related to NHBC/LABC to ensure discharging of conditions
To be considered for this position, it is desired you have previous experience working for a residential developer or house builder in a similar position producing full working drawing packages. It is essential you have a strong understanding of Building Regulations and Code for Sustainable Homes and proficiency in AutoCAD. A working knowledge of BIM an Revit is preferable along with experience in SAP assessments / EPC certificates.
