We are working closely with one of the UK’s top ten national House Builders who is looking to appoint a Technical Manager for their West Midlands region on a permanent basis.
This highly successful West Midlands region builds one to five bed homes across Worcester and Herefordshire, Birmingham, Warwickshire and North Oxfordshire. Building circa 700 units per annum this Developer has been rated a 4* builder by their customers.
The person they appoint as Technical Manager will be responsible for the running of projects from initial site identification to procuring the technical package and coordinating and checking information issued. This position will report directly to the Technical Director. You will coordinate the production of site information to a written programme to ensure that company targets are met for a controlled and cost-effective finish to sites, provide drawings to site on a weekly basis and ensure that schemes are designed to company standards to suit building, marketing and economic considerations as well as being competitive in design teams.
To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience of working with a residential developer and hold a HND / HNC in Building Studies / Construction or equivalent qualification. The ability to use AutoCAD is essential.
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong organisational skills and be able to work to tight deadlines in a demanding environment. You should be able to communicate effectively at all levels both with external consultants and agencies and internal departments.
In return, this house builder is offering a competitive salary up to £55,000 plus an excellent benefits package (negotiable dependant on experience).
