A reputable multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy located in Derby is in search of a Civil Design Engineer to join their Infrastructure team on a permanent basis.
Having generated a successful reputation in the industry with extensive years’ experience, this Consultancy will give you the opportunity to complete varied civil design projects for private sector clients, housing developers and local authorities. The majority of projects will involve working on infrastructure and commercial developments across the UK, therefore, experience in at least one of these sectors is essential.
The person they appoint will be responsible for the production and delivery of detailed infrastructure design, management of multiple projects at one time, delivering own projects, developing new client relationships and communicating with other internal departments. You will also be expected to attend recommended training courses for your own personal development, comply with health and safety standards at all times and any other duties required for this position. The ability to use AutoCAD, Civils 3D and Micro Drainage is essential.
To be considered for this position you must have experience in highways design, drainage strategies, as well as the production and coordination of foul and surface water drainage design. A degree in Civil Engineering is desirable as well as being Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE). Professionals with a relevant qualification and suitable experience will also be considered. It is required you have at least 6 years’ experience working in a similar civil design engineer role with a strong background in infrastructure design and an understanding of the technical aspects of the industry.
