A thriving land promotion business who are fast approaching their 20th anniversary are expanding their ambitious Land and Planning team based in Cheshire.

After already successfully receiving planning consent for almost 8,000 homes, this Land Promoter are now looking for a Senior Planning Manager to continue growing their business further in the Cheshire Office. You will be working closely with the Land, Planning and Technical teams on a daily basis whilst building relationships internally and externally, including local planning authorities.

Excellent written communication and organisation skills are a must to help the day to day running of the department. A dynamic approach to land acquisition is a must due to the fast pace of the company with experience in a similar role for a land promoter, house builder or similar.

Key responsibilities:

To manage planning activities in relation to all aspects of land purchase, both short and long term to ensure that appropriate planning consents are obtained cost effectively.
The post holder will act as part of the company’s management team in the general running of the company, working towards achieving the company’s targets; and seeking to positively influence the progression and growth of the company. This will include maximising revenue generation and contributing to the operating profit of the business.

Planning Appraisals of potential development sites form a large part of this role; identifying any potential risks and making recommendations on the prospects of achieving planning permission and the likely timeframes.
You wil be expected to prepare and manage applications and planning appeals for both residential and mixed use developments; both brownfield and greenfield sites across the entire UK.
Conclude successful negotiations with officers and other stakeholders at both pre-application and post - application submission stages.
As a Planning expert you will be expected to advise the business to any likely changes in planning policy or legislation which may impact investment decisions made.
In addition to you will prepare consise and effective board packs and attend management meetings as requested.
